Our product is intended to supply oxygen similarly to how blood supplies it. There are situations where not enough oxygen is being delivered and life is threatened, such as:

Transplant organ tissues start to break down once blood is no longer flowing through the organ.
Conditions such as anemia and ischemia are caused by a lack of oxygen; certain cancers and wounds may be treated with oxygen to improve recovery.
Our product is an innovative solution that works in molecular scale instead of cellular scale. We are developing it to be stable at room temperature for an extended period of time to make it highly applicable and accessible.
Our product will be highly purified so that it can be used with any blood type. It is being developed to be applied to the bloodstream without the need for cross-typing.
The manufacturing process of making our product combines decades of protein purification technology with innovative manufacturing methods. This will allow us to produce a high-quality, cost-effective and scalable solution.
Our novel purification process is being developed to create a product that will be compatible with all blood types for human and veterinary applications. 8BioMed has a controlled donor herd with full traceability of every animal. Animals used as a source for our product are certified TSE-free. Blood is drawn from these animals humanely.
Our product will be available after the completion of ongoing in-vivo studies and the FDA new drug evaluation process.
